Jason Witten's practice concentrates on business litigation and corporate guidance with an emphasis on international transactions, intellectual property, real property and contracts. Specifically, he litigates a variety of business matters including intellectual property, corporate fraud, labor issues, and commercial transactions, as well providing day-to-day advice in how to avoid litigation in these areas of law. Further, Jason Witten has handled a number of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions. In addition, he is the contact window for the majority of WHGC's corporate clients. Jason Witten has significant lead trial experience and has represented large domestic and overseas companies in their day-to-day business dealings. In addition to being a licensed California attorney, he recently passed the United Kingdom bar exam and is to be added to the rolls of solicitors. Some examples of his work experience include:
Trials: Repesented large tech company lessee against property owner lessor in a triple net lease action resulting in jury verdict that saved his client over a million dollars which accounted for 80% of the demand. Represented a land owner against his partner at trial severing their partnership, retaining 80% of the land, and defeating a claim for fraud. Represented an Asian tech company against its US customer at trial obtaining a verdict for the full amount owed of $520,000 owed and fraud.
Notable Litigation Resolutions: May 2008, defeated patent holder in mobile phone patent litigation in North Carolina; May 2008, defeated mobile phone patent holder in litigation in Eastern District of Texas; June 2008, successful negotiation and settlement of securities and fraud litigation for defendant client California State Court; June 2008, successful negotiation and settlement of copyright and contract litigation with licensee in Central District of California; Large settlement representing Plaintiff in Patent Litigation; May 2008, successful negotiation and settlement of labor litigation in Central District of California; March 2008, successful negotiation and settlement of German corporation US subsidiary dispute in California State Court.
