Michelle McCliman has over 10 years of experience as a litigation attorney in matters involving trade secrets, trademark, copyrights, patents, unfair competition, torts, as well as general commercial litigation.

In addition to her litigation experience, Ms. McCliman provides a wide array of counseling regarding intellectual property protection. For example, Ms. McCliman has successfully prosecuted trademarks both nationally and internationally, assisted clients in preparing and implementing proprietary information protection plans, and drafted agreements to protect a company's proprietary information.  Ms. McCliman also gives seminars on these topics to other professionals.

Ms. McCliman vigorously represents clients by implementing creative, cost-conscious solutions to conflict resolution, including alternate dispute resolution forums such as mediation and arbitration. Ms. McCliman's impressive combination of talents both as a seasoned counselor and aggressive litigator provide her clients with a full range of legal services. As such, Ms. McCliman is capable of assisting her clients in avoiding potential exposure to litigation and a strong defense with speedy resolution strategies should litigation become unavoidable.

While in law school, Michelle distinguished herself as an editor of the U.C. Davis Law Review and as a participant of the Lefkowitz Moot Court Team.

Ms. McCliman is a member of the Coastline Community Paralegal Studies faculty.  She teaches courses in Intellectual Property, Civil Trials and Evidence, and Contracts.
